Product Description

The folding knife Opinel N°12 Effile Slim boasts a sleek and elegant design. While it's classified as a pocket knife due to its folding capability, it's also incredibly useful in the kitchen, particularly for filleting fish.

Featuring a narrow, flexible blade with a plain edge and flat grind, this knife is crafted from stainless steel with a double polished finish for a mirror-like effect. The stainless steel used in OPINEL blades is a grade optimized to ensure both high corrosion resistance and superior mechanical performance.
The knife can be opened using a notch on the head. In the open position, the blade is secured with the Virobloc, patented in 1955. This is a steel ring on the handle located at the axis of rotation of the blade. When the knife is opened, the ring is rotated slightly to cover the blade slot in the handle, preventing any movement of the blade.

The handle is crafted from Olive wood, which features a yellow to orange hue with dense and often intricate veining. It is soft to the touch and has a beautiful polish. The handle is varnished to protect it from moisture and dirt.
