Product Description
The M311 SPELTER knife was crafted in collaboration with forward air observation units, close protection teams, and special air operations personnel. Contributions from other military and security experts were also integral to its design. Throughout the development process, we prioritized leveraging their expertise and specific needs. This unique partnership allowed us to thoroughly test the quality of the selected materials, design, and overall construction. The knife underwent extensive testing in extreme environments and diverse climates, from the hot, dry, and humid regions of Asia to the frigid zones beyond the polar circle.
The blade is forged from the renowned Swedish Elmax steel, known for its superior quality. This premium steel extends through the entire knife body to the handle's base, which features a glass-breaking point. The blade boasts a robust DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) coating that reduces reflections, resists corrosion, and enhances the steel's sliding properties. The handle is crafted using 3D machining from Micarta, providing a comfortable and secure grip due to its ergonomic shape and textured grooves. A safety paracord loop is included to prevent the knife from slipping during use. The knife's structure is reinforced with solid threaded sleeves and four M5 screws, all featuring a DLC finish. For secure and convenient carrying, the knife comes with a self-locking Kydex sheath, which includes openings for attachment to a blade-tech system, allowing for compatibility with both molle and pals tactical webbing. A generous flow opening facilitates easy and quick maintenance of the sheath. Additionally, a belt hanger is provided for effortless belt carry.
