The blade's core is crafted from stainless Aichi AUS-10 steel, boasting a hardness of approximately HRC 62, and is encased in 32 layers of softer steel, known as san mai clad. This construction is polished to a mirror finish.
The handle features an octagonal shape and is made from lacquered oak wood.
